Merry Christmas 2015

From our home to yours...
Wishes for a blessed, peaceful, cozy Christmas Season.
Enjoy it with those you love.

We will be spending these days in our jammies, playing games and drinking cocoa. We will venture out only to Mass and then return to our cozy country home for snuggles and movies. We will celebrate the old year ending, as we look forward to a new one beginning. This is our favorite week of the year...a week in which, for us, time doesn't exist. Daddy goes to work and comes home early. We relish this family time, before the world outside our little home begins again.

Enjoy these days in your way, my dear friends.
Merry Christmas!
Happy New Year!

Our 2nd Annual Rudolph Party!

It's here! Christmas time is here! We celebrate the first day of our vacation with a tradition I began just last year on a whim. And my children...even the older ones...loved it! You are never too old for Rudolph, after all. Or muffins and doughnuts. : ) It is an easy and fun way to start off our family Christmas celebration. Mocha and I woke up early to prepare and Flynn woke shortly after and was thrilled. The older ones slept later...yes, my friends with littles, it does eventually happen...and finally we enjoyed a yummy and fun breakfast on the day before the day before Christmas!

All ready! With an extra place setting for our Christmas visitor, Madison's boyfriend Nicolas!

And if you are interested, the Rudolph table runner is beautiful. It is on sale online at Chasing Fireflies!

Enjoy these most magical days, My friends!

Cookie Baking Day And A Special Visitor

Sunday was our annual baking day, and it was both fun and productive! Here are a few pictures of our special day...

My mom joined us for the day, and Madison did Peyton and Flynn's hair for the day!

And the end result of a very busy day in the kitchen...
M&M,  Chocolate Crinkle, Peanut Blossoms, Molasses, and Chocolate Chip. : )

A little while later...we heard a bell ringing outside...Flynn was THRILLED to see it was SANTA!!!!

Santa was testing out his sleigh and made a few quick stops at some homes along the way, and my baby was so thankful he came to our house. : )

The joy that comes from seeing a little one with that sweet, innocent belief is something to experience. Childhood is so short lived...it has to be embraced every chance possible! And this moment will live in my heart forever.

Thank You Santa! : )

Holiday Home Tour...Part Four

Well, this week we finish our Holiday Home Tour upstairs, where we have just a few decorations to make the season fun.

Our room has a festive Christmas quilt that I am guilty of leaving on through January. : )
And a sweet little tree on my nightstand glows softly through the night...

This little pillow says it all. : )

Flynn's dresser is in our room, and she loves to decorate it for every season.

She keeps her sweet snow globe in here too. :)

Peyton loves Christmas as much as I do...

and always decorates her room in the cutest way. : )

Madison is a holiday lover as well...guess it runs in the family...

And there you have it. A look at our country home all ready for Christmas. I hope you enjoyed spending time with us here.  I always enjoy your visits!
Merry Christmas, friends!

Time To Light The Last Candle

Yes. Believe it or not, we are entering the last week of Advent. Tonight we attended Mass, and then rode around looking at Christmas Lights while delivering gifts to some special people in our lives. Tomorrow is our annual Family Baking Day. And then we will be done. Done shopping, wrapping, baking, and preparing. This week we will relax. We will listen to Christmas music, watch Christmas movies, snuggle on the couch and look at the tree. And we will wait. Wait for the most special day of the year. And wait for the Baby Jesus. Because that is what all of this is really about. : ) Have a cozy, blessed week, my friends! Enjoy!

December Mornings

We haven't had snow yet. But we have had beauty. December mornings are beautiful here. When Mocha and I venture out early each morning,  just as the world is beginning to awaken to a brand new day, I marvel at the beauty and peacefulness around us. And I don't ever want to forget it, or take it for granted. Every month possesses a unique beauty. And this is December's.

Ordinary December Days

December. So many exciting days. But some of the best are the ordinary ones, don't you agree?

Preparing to visit Grandma Flo in her nursing home...

Snuggling with little a little pup on a lazy Saturday morning...

Receiving text messages from my successful hunter, who suddenly seems so much older...

Watching Alfred Hitchcock movies while sipping vanilla latte...

Choosing which precious pair of Christmas jammies my little Flynn will wear. All day long...

Playing Rudolph Monopoly...which somehow is so much more fun than the original...

Making dinner just a little bit more special on an ordinary December evening...

Licking the bowl after baking...

yummy Double Chocolate Brownies...just because.

This wonderful time passes so quickly.
These are just some of the small ways we try to enjoy each and every moment. : )
